Job Description & Requirements:
The inclusive education teacher role is a key role to support school culture and learning across the school. The successful candidate will have experience of working with young people with a range of learning needs. The candidate will be able to demonstrate a working understanding of how these needs impact upon learning and behaviour in the classroom, and work with teachers across the school to ensure the best possible outcome for the learners.

Job Role & Responsibilities
Create a positive school culture in regards to inclusive education for the Middleton community,
Advocacy of children’s rights to equity and equal opportunities.
Supporting, develop and enhance the teaching practice of staff to teach inclusive lessons.
Identifying, organising and managing groups or individual students in need of additional support in regards to academic, social, mental or emotional support.
Working with the teachers to identify learning objectives; planning and preparing lessons in order to deliver the curriculum, ensuring differentiation as needed
Planning schoolwide opportunities and programmes to develop the mental, social, academic and emotional aspects of all community members.
Developing and maintaining a regular system of monitoring, tracking, assessment, record-keeping and reporting of students’ progress under inclusive education.
Maintain individual student records as necessary and ensure that they are kept up to date.
Monitor incidents where students require positive handling and ensure appropriate recording and reporting takes place in accordance with school policies
Prepare students for examinations and secure appropriate access arrangements by liaising with the person in charge.
Create and maintain effective partnerships with parents/carers, school staff and external agencies (if required) to support and improve students’ achievement and personal development
Maintain confidentiality and sensitivities of students and staff.
Undertake other roles or responsibilities as determined by the Senior Leadership Team
Motivate and work with staff to create a shared culture and positive climate
Participate in parent/carer information events including evenings
Contribute to the management of key school events
Job Requirements:
Bachelor of Education or higher from an accredited institution and/or an education degree in special needs
Minimum of 2 years teaching experience
Thorough knowledge of the principles and methodology of effective teaching of inclusive education
An understanding of inquiry based programme with rigorous curriculum standards
Self-motivated, independent and a strong team player
