Classroom Assistant (Bangkok, Thailand)
We are opening Middleton International School Bangkok as a founding campus and are excited to grow our team. We are seeking several caring, positive and proactive Classroom Assistants to support our Early Years and Primary classes (including Nursery 1).
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young children, values teamwork, and wants to contribute to a safe, joyful and engaging learning environment. You will work closely with the Class Teacher to support children’s learning, wellbeing and daily routines across the school day.

Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Learning Support
Support the Class Teacher in delivering engaging, play-based learning activities.
Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning,
Assist children with developing social skills, independence and confidence.
Support children with emotional or behavioural needs with patience and care.
Help create a warm, inclusive and well-organised classroom environment.
Assist during specialist lessons where appropriate (PE, Performing Arts, Visual Art, Music, Swimming).
Care & Wellbeing
Help supervise children during class time, playtime, lunch and transitions.
Support children with personal care needs, including:
Toileting
Nappy changing for Nursery 1 students
Hygiene routines (handwashing, cleaning up, snacks)
Follow school procedures to ensure dignity, safety and privacy during personal care.
Promote safe behaviour and help children understand expectations.
Ensure students are well cared for and feel supported at all times.
Classroom & Administrative Support
Prepare learning materials and resources as directed by the teacher.
Assist with classroom displays and learning environments.
Help maintain student records and simple documentation when required.
Keep classroom spaces tidy, organised and safe.
Undertake additional duties, such as ECAs, playground supervision, and event support, as needed.
Professionalism & School Culture
Model the school’s values, aims and ethos at all times.
Be punctual, reliable, respectful and collaborative.
Maintain confidentiality and professional integrity.
Attend meetings and training sessions as required.
Be proactive in matters relating to health, safety and well-being.
Job Requirements
Having a good command of English (spoken and written) is preferred.
Pleasant, caring personality with strong service orientation.
Experience working with young children (school or childcare setting preferred).
A calm, kind, patient and nurturing disposition.
Responsible, flexible and able to work as part of a team.
Able to take initiative while following guidance from teachers and school leaders.
Fluency in Thai is an advantage.
A diploma or bachelor’s degree in Education/Early Childhood is preferred but not essential.
