Position: French Teacher (Jan 2026)

Reporting To: Principal

Direct Reports: No direct report

Job Role & Responsibilities

• Undertake the teaching of a class in accordance with the school’s agreed policies and guidelines
• Create meaningful language opportunities for children where a love for French can be promoted
• Establish an effective and responsive classroom environment where children are active participants
• Document children’s learning through contributions towards newsletters, class displays and children’s portfolios
• Responsible for all aspects of classroom management, which will include safety and hygiene of the children and resources of the centre
• Work closely with other teaching staff in the class in carrying out the duties
• Build and maintain close partnership with parents
• Any other related job duties as assigned
• All legal responsibilities
• Attend staff meetings
• Actively participate in on-going professional development

Job Requirement

• At least Bachelor of French Language and Literature or French teaching degree or its equivalent
• At least 2 years of relevant working experience with students in the age range of 3-15
• Knowledge of or willingness to acquire knowledge of inquiry-based learning
